This past Saturday (July 14th), two members of our team (Daniel and James) made the short drive from Los Angeles to Camarillo to present at a Matcha Education Event at All Things Tea (http://www.tea-liteful.com/). This is the fourth year running Aiya has partnered with All Things Tea to have an educational event like this. Lasting approximately two hours, the event covered the history of Matcha, how it is grown and produced, and the many ways Matcha is utilized throughout the world. Our team members really enjoyed the chance to get out of the office and interact with some real Matcha enthusiasts! Spreading knowledge about Matcha has always and will always continue to remain a very important task for us at Aiya and events such as this one at All Things Tea really help us do just that.
During the presentation the attendees had the chance to try making their own bowl of Matcha and for some it was their very first time! To accompany their Matcha, the lovely ladies of All Things Tea served a number of Matcha based and Matcha inspired dishes throughout the presentation. Each dish served - a warming Matcha latte, subtly sweet Matcha scone, naturally sweet and tart Matcha lemonade, Matcha dusted delicate vegetable wrap, and Matcha ice cream – utilized Matcha in some way to help highlight the naturally savory and sweet ways Matcha can enhance any recipe.
We hope that those who attended left with some more knowledge about Matcha and what it can be used for. Aiya looks forward to next year’s presentation at All Things Tea. If interested, feel free to contact either Aiya or All Things Tea for more information!!
