World Tea East

This year's World Tea Expo East 2012 show in Philadelphia will once again be about everything and anything tea. In addition to being able to sample the plethora of delicious teas on the show floor, there are going to be a number of Education Conferences for those seeking to quench their thirst for more tea knowledge! Starting the day before the show and going on all the way to the last day, two of these such conferences will be hosted by members from Aiya America!

This past Saturday, two members of our team, Daniel and James, made the short drive from Los Angeles to Camarillo to present at a Matcha Education Event at All Things Tea.  This is the fourth year Aiya has partnered with All Things Tea to present at an educational event. Our team members really enjoyed the chance to get out of the office and interact with some real Matcha enthusiasts!

This past Thursday and Friday The Los Angeles Urasenke Tankokai Association celebrated their 60th Anniversary. This year in particular was special because in addition to being the 60th Anniversary of the Urasenke Tankokai here in Los Angeles, a special guest was also in attendance; the 16th-generation successor of Sen Rikyu in the Urasenke Line, Grand Master Zabousai, made the trip from Japan to participate.

It is truly an honor, as this certification is only awarded to manufacturers with the highest standards in food processing, safety, and technology. The AIB certification tests for all aspects of our quality control system, such as Matcha harvesting, processing, and storage, and even final product viability.
