  • A healthy addition to any dish or recipe

Aiya’s Culinary Grade Matcha is specially blended for food and beverages, providing color, aroma, and nutritional benefits to your favorite drinks and treats.

People often mistakenly believe that higher – or more expensive – grades of Matcha are the best to use when it comes to making recipes. However, while a higher quality tea is better on its own, this doesn’t hold true for cooking. A truly high-quality Culinary Grade Matcha should have a stronger tea flavor than a ceremonial grade, allowing the Matcha flavor to shine when mixed with other ingredients. Although most would consider it slightly too astringent when consumed solely with water, this grade is perfect for making Matcha flavored desserts and beverages.

All of Aiya’s Matcha is produced in the Nishio region of Aichi prefecture in Japan, where the finest Matcha has been grown for over 800 years. Each 100g (3.5oz) bag is good for a number of recipes. For example, only around 2g (1/2 tsp) is needed to flavor drinks and around 1-2 Tbsp is ideal to flavor a batch of baked goods.

best matcha ever!

Outstanding quality! So fresh and green! I am not going to waste time and money looking for better; it is the best. Makes creamy lattes and bright green ice cream. Other brands have absolutely no flavor. Thank you aiya for quality matcha and service.
Better than some others "best"

I purchased this to bake with...but I have to say, this matcha's quality is better than some "ceremonial" grades from other brands. I whisked a cup to drink and it's still very smooth. As for baking, it works wonderfully and Aiya sent some great recipes along too with it! Although cooking grade, it is still very bright green in color, not "yellowed" at all like some lower quality brands and your cookies, truffles, etc will have a great color to them. You just can't beat Aiya's quality or cost.
Delicious and vibrant

I used this product when I used to sell green tea brownies at a food truck I worked for. The color stays a bright green even after cooking and the flavor really packs a punch.

I've also used it in lattes and other baked goods. Has a mild sweetness to it. The bitterness is a lot more smooth than other brands. You can really taste the quality, which is supurb based on it's price.

Although this is the second choice after ceremonial grade, the quality is still very high. I mix it with almond milk and some lemon and ginger. It tastes great!
Happy Accident

I first bought the organic version of this matcha and was looking to buy another bag due to it running low. I was on Amazon and saw a sale for this bag and quickly bought it. I then realized it was the non organic version. But when I received it, the flavor and color was still amazing. Now I drink at least one thermal of matcha tea everyday.
The cooking grade matcha will last for a while with many uses!
