    Matcha Donuts

    • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
    • cup light brown sugar, packed
    • 1 large egg, room temperature
    •  cup whole milk
    • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    • 1 Tbsp Aiya Culinary Grade Matcha, sifted
    • 1 cup all purpose flour, sifted
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • ¼ tsp baking soda
    • ¼ tsp fine salt

    Chocolate Glaze

    • 4 oz dark chocolate, roughly chopped
    • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
    • 2 Tbsp whipping cream
    • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    • cup powdered sugar, sifted

    Matcha Donuts

    1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease two donut pans.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the butter and brown sugar until combined. Add the egg, milk, vanilla and Matcha. Mix until well blended.
    3. Sift in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat until a smooth batter is formed, about 60 seconds.
    4. Transfer filling to a piping bag fitted with a large plain tip. Carefully pipe filling in prepared donut pans, filling them just over halfway.
    5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops bounce back to touch.
    6. Let cool completely before removing and glazing.

    Chocolate Glaze

    1. In a microwave safe bowl add the chocolate, butter and whipping cream. Microwave in 15 second increments until the chocolate is fully melted.
    2. Whisk in the vanilla and powdered sugar until silky smooth.
    3. Immediately dunk each donut top in the glaze. The chocolate will begin to harden, so glaze those donuts quickly!
    4. Garnish with rose petals and let stand 15 minutes to allow the glaze to cool. Enjoy!
